Chassis Analysis

In our opinion, the sensible place to start with any vehicle, is to gain a full and thorough understanding of what we are working with, which is what we do with our Chassis Analysis service.

This service consists of taking detailed measurements of all suspension geometry, kinematics and weight distributions, thus allowing us to model how the vehicle will naturally react to any stimulus applied. We will then sit down with the driver and discuss their requirements from the vehicle, this is an in depth discussion, not only related to the specific application of the vehicle, but also to the desired handling characteristics for you to be able to maximise the vehicle.

Oftentimes customers will wish to retain certain compliance components, both for financial and regulatory purposes. As suspension setup is about balance, it is very important to factor their respective rates in to our calculations, in this situation, we can either offer a Spring/damping rate measurement service or rely on measurements you may already have for these.

Once we have got to this stage, we can then go away and produce for you a full report specifying all our recommendations for; Springs, dampers, Anti-roll bars, etc. As well as this, we will provide baseline geometry settings.
